Western Leisure Services Pty Ltd (WLS) is a Local Government Business Enterprise (LGBE) established to manage three leisure facilities in Wyndham City – AquaPulse, Eagle Stadium and Werribee Outdoor Pool.

Wyndham has experienced the largest and fastest growth in all Victorian local government areas and is the fourth fastest growing in Australia. Be part of a nationally recognised premier facility where AquaPulse has been awarded the title of "Watch Around Water - Facility of the Year" at the Aquatics & Recreation Victoria (ARV) Awards, in both 2017 and 2018. As the winner in the "Watch Around Water" category, AquaPulse was judged to be Victoria's top facility in providing innovative and effective strategies aimed at educating our community about water safety, and structuring a safe environment for children to swim.

In another win, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia, AquaPulse won the inaugural 2017 National Aquatic Industry Safety Awards, recognising the achievements of aquatic facilities and individuals towards improving health and safety outcomes within their communities.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the role of Aquatics Manager is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and management of the Learn to Swim program, school aquatic programs, relationships with key aquatic user groups and the development of new aquatic programs to drive participation and revenue.

To be successful in this position, you must demonstrate experience in the aquatics and recreation industry at a management level along with managing and delivering aquatic education programs and services in a recreation facility or similar environment.

The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Swim School, School Swimming Program, Holiday Activities, Birthday Parties, Swim Club bookings, Facility Hire, Special Events, and the supervision and development of the Learn to Swim Instructors. Through a strong customer service focus, the Aquatics Coordinator ensures Swim School members, patrons and parents are gaining maximum benefit and enjoyment from the services provided.

To be considered for this role you will need to have experience in the conduct of aquatic programs, especially in a busy Learn to Swim environment. You will also have the ability to inspire and motivate staff to ensure the development of highly professional staff behaviour and to adapt to a growing and changing environment.

This is an incredible opportunity to be involved in a state-of-the art facility as an industry leader, whilst creating an environment that encourages safety and customer service excellence within one of the fastest growing cities in Australia.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Cert III Fitness (or above)
  • Level 2 First Aid
  • CPR
  • Working with Children; and
